In breakout groups, learners will compare content roles using professional briefs and create draft brand voice guidelines using tone sliders and mood boards in Canva.
Week 2: Visual & Video Content Mastery
Students storyboard and shoot mobile content, applying rapid editing workflows in CapCut and DaVinci Resolve for platform-specific cuts. They use RunwayML for automatic background removal, subtitle syncing, and motion retargeting. Typography and layout techniques are practiced through carousel design in Canva. An A/B testing protocol is followed where students upload videos with alternate thumbnails, captions, and titles to test hook effectiveness.
Week 3: Copywriting, AI & Content Automation
Students explore and refine hook/caption writing by engineering prompts in ChatGPT to reflect different tones and campaign goals. They generate post variations in Jasper.ai and Copy.ai, and practice SEO-based content using trending hashtags and keyword groupings. Using Later, students deploy automated post sequences and compare performance of human vs. AI-generated copy in controlled trials. A hands-on challenge includes scheduling a themed week of posts with real-time chat-based feedback.
Week 4: Social Media Analytics & Reporting
Learners export insights from TikTok and Instagram to identify audience behaviour and peak interaction times. They use UTM builders to tag and trace campaign performance and embed those in posts tracked via Google Analytics. Students build Data Studio dashboards incorporating pie charts, time-based comparisons, and engagement conversion funnels. A real-time performance issue (drop in story reach or follower rate) is assigned for teams to troubleshoot and report on.
Week 5: Paid Ads & Influencer Marketing
Students simulate a Meta Ads campaign using sandbox tools, configuring ad sets, creative split testing, and placement targeting. They use CreatorIQ or mock tools to assess influencer engagement stats and alignment, writing simulated outreach emails with brand briefs. Google Sheets is used to calculate influencer campaign ROI using CPM and conversion estimates. Peer teams role-play as creators and brands negotiating a sponsored post agreement.
Week 6: Entrepreneurial Mindset & Digital Monetization
Students select one content theme (fitness, fashion, gaming, etc.) and design a monetizable digital product. Learners build a Discord server with roles (moderator, super fan, bot), set permissions, and configure basic bots for auto-messaging. They use Brand24 to track sentiment from selected keywords and develop real-time response frameworks for negative mentions. Hootsuite is used to plan community-led content based on UGC strategies. Week 8: Pitch, Portfolio & Digital Showcase
